Our goals include becoming financially independent and sustainable, and preparing our members for the real world. From its start in 1988 right up to today, the Latin American Student Organization (LASO) would not exist without the support of Northeastern, but especially not without the support of the community. In addition, we are constantly developing leaders in order to prepare them for the workplace and life. There are many different ways that you can support these important causes.

Donations
When we do not receive funding through Northeastern, LASO depends on the generosity of individual supporters, alumni and corporations to fund our programs and activities. We encourage you to make a difference and please consider giving a donation no matter how small. If you would like to make a donation, please send a check to our mailing address found here. Through your generosity, LASO members gain a better opportunity to grow into active and engaged members of their communities and develop to their full potential.

Scholarships & Fellowships
Pursuing higher education is one of the best investments that one can make. However, the cost of education is drastically rising each year. Scholarships assist in this matter; this form of aid especially benefits students of disadvantaged backgrounds.

Job Opportunities & Community Service
Northeastern integrates rigorous classroom studies with experiential learning opportunities - anchored by the nation's largest, most innovative cooperative education program - to prepare students for a lifetime of achievement. LASO members partake in many leadership roles within the University, such as E-Team member and Team Leader, which prepares them for the workforce.
